This review is of Common Sense by Glenn Beck.

Not to be confused with Thomas Pain’s Common Sense. Why could they be confused? They can be confused because the title is the same and the topic is the same. I skip straight to describing the topic.

These are my own words, ( otherwise this would have someone else’s name but I needed a segway), the topic is look at what this ‘adjective’ government is doing, it’s only common sense that that isn’t right. We must change this government. To use a slightly more ancient words: (and I do not believe if Beck where writing this himself, he would know exactly what I am doing, he would not disagree with how I put it.)

note: And in using ancient words I know modern people don’t pour over their words meanings. It takes effort but it is the only way to condense the meat of this book down. Each sentence has meaning. Thats way Beck uses a 110 page book. But each sentence is a topic in this book. The Ancient text has been change subtlety to produce a great change in meaning. Think peaceful protest.

When in the course of human events,it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another,(the RNC, and the DNC) … and to assume among the Powers of the (US National political parties), the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.

That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter … [it],and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness…

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.
But when a long train of abuses ( namely not the progressive philosophy which empowers the government taking away the republic for which this nation stands, and substitution a progressive socialized democracy. To wit SS, Medicare, Universal Health care, Government control of privite property such as GM CityGroup, WellsFargo, Bank of America, Unions etc, and 3 trillion dollars in spending of other peoples money yours mine and your grandkids to inflate or dollar etc while using taxes and political insidership to control your actions ), it is their right, it is their duty, to …[alter] such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

Such has been the patient sufferance of these [people]; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present [progressives, liberals , current republicans and democrats ] is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

He leaves to us a list of recommended reading of those facts. But if you listen to his radio program for long enough you won’t be surprised at this list. I have read the first recommended reading part way through and I was shocked at how far the progressives have driven the norm. This post was one page and 2 lines typed . Word count is 665.
