This review is of Common Sense by Glenn Beck.

Not to be confused with Thomas Pain’s Common Sense. Why could they be confused? They can be confused because the title is the same and the topic is the same. I skip straight to describing the topic.

These are my own words, ( otherwise this would have someone else’s name but I needed a segway), the topic is look at what this ‘adjective’ government is doing, it’s only common sense that that isn’t right. We must change this government. To use a slightly more ancient words: (and I do not believe if Beck where writing this himself, he would know exactly what I am doing, he would not disagree with how I put it.)

note: And in using ancient words I know modern people don’t pour over their words meanings. It takes effort but it is the only way to condense the meat of this book down. Each sentence has meaning. Thats way Beck uses a 110 page book. But each sentence is a topic in this book. The Ancient text has been change subtlety to produce a great change in meaning. Think peaceful protest.

When in the course of human events,it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another,(the RNC, and the DNC) … and to assume among the Powers of the (US National political parties), the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.

That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter … [it],and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness…

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.
But when a long train of abuses ( namely not the progressive philosophy which empowers the government taking away the republic for which this nation stands, and substitution a progressive socialized democracy. To wit SS, Medicare, Universal Health care, Government control of privite property such as GM CityGroup, WellsFargo, Bank of America, Unions etc, and 3 trillion dollars in spending of other peoples money yours mine and your grandkids to inflate or dollar etc while using taxes and political insidership to control your actions ), it is their right, it is their duty, to …[alter] such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

Such has been the patient sufferance of these [people]; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present [progressives, liberals , current republicans and democrats ] is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

He leaves to us a list of recommended reading of those facts. But if you listen to his radio program for long enough you won’t be surprised at this list. I have read the first recommended reading part way through and I was shocked at how far the progressives have driven the norm. This post was one page and 2 lines typed . Word count is 665.

The left is confused? Let me clear this up. Nazi Sunday, Apr 5 2009

Over at the Daily Kos,  (who?)  these guys are “progressive” (own word),    MaikeH  wrote about his father who was watching the Fox News back when war bashing was all the rage, you know before the surge, and before Obama’s and Bush’s policies became identical.  His father was a Nazi.  He claims his father hated the propaganda latter and  became a progressive.  I believe the father did just that.   Now he infers that Nazi is the exact opposite of progressive.   And that conservatives, if you go really right are Nazi’s.  The Father stated that all you had to do was change a few adjectives and that  Fox News was spewing Nazi propaganda.    Another true statement.    But words mater and it wasn’t propaganda for Nazi or Authoritarianism.

Hogwash.   Progressives are big government,  the Nazis were all government so if you look at a scale they are both pretty close to Authoritarianism.  And true conservatism (not  Bush’s or Republicans’)  are not.  Look at the founding fathers,  not authoritarian by any means.       What gets me is that if you want to play the word association game then progressive = socialism.  Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (“German National Socialist Workers’ Party”) From wikipeidia.  and confirmed on another site.   So shall we continue the ad homin attacks.   Your dad was an authoritarian apparently all of his life.   To just change the words a little.

On another note what is wrong with glorifying our troops.   They do kick trash and take names for us.    So one has to protect us.  Now you can argue if Iraq is a protective or not, but nothing is wrong with patriotism.   Something is wrong with useing patriotism to shut down that argument.  Nazis used patriotism to shut down free speech.  Both left and right in this country has come really close to doing that.

Worse the progressives we have now are takeing power from the American people (money = power when there is a trillion dollars involved) and giving it to the G 20, the Big banks, the Chinese.   In fact they are useing debt which enslaves me and if I ever have kids, enslaves them.   Worse they are printing it.   Wienhart republic did that and Nazi’s were the answer.

Jews were vilified to unite the country, they stole the money.   (so what does that make the AIG people, Jews?)  But the real problem was the government mr. Hitler was a war hero.  He was a personality cult.  He was a Barack Obama with a hero background.    This all sounds familiar  .  If I could just change the leftwingnuts adjectives  I could attack anyone….    quote

Alas, the characters they have been trying to sell us have come across as caricatures of what they were supposed to represent.

“What the problem is?”  (that’s a movie reffence) Government being athouritarian, takeing priviate property away.     What is the problem today, the same thing.

What have progressive done for us lately? Wednesday, Apr 1 2009

Stereotypical liberalism is, increase the Governments power by increasing their money so that we can’t be free because there are so many uncommonsense rules attached. We can’t build things on private property with out going to the federal community and that is wrong. We can’t progress because the progressives block the way. The Environmentalists have frozen or will freeze the world as it is today in an attempt to gain more power and shut down anything that requires energy. They do it through the federally funded EPA and lawsuits. And yes I can back that up.
Civil Rights movement, what do they do lately for us. Prevent children from praying to God privately for help with their work because the’re in a federally publicly funded school. They didn’t stop eminent domain by towns for corporations use. I know the town would progress but I am willing to ride my bike to keep private property private. Civil Rights movement keeps murdering scum alive by opposing the death penalty. But what if they are kids? well what if? 10 percent of homicides are premeditated murder by gang memebers and wacos who are 17.(the actual numbers are under 18 but close enough).
Oh labor unions, there was a use for them, there is a use for them. But today they are the secondary reason for jobs going overseas. They are the primary reason for our auto industry being in a bad state when the federal and banks money problem sunk them. And the teacher labor unions have supported some abominable things like, you must join the union and pay their dues and unions get state money so they can force you to pay their dues and , sex ed and the gay issue for really way to young kids.
Social Security and Medicare, you mean the thing that was going to kill our constitution when we went backrupt. It was going to, now we have liberal progressives in the old style of the word in control of the House, the Senate, and the white house. Mussouli is going to make the trains run on time. While blameing conservities for all of the fiscal mess, not just some of it all of it, they are going to spend like drunk saliors. more money then they can loan. yes that is a fact. The fed printed money to loan to the treasury. Not that the fed had a choice we could have just declared bankruptcy. Right. (the idea has appeal it would stop the madness.)
Mean while progressives are worried about what? Global Warming cause by CO2 and the Poor of this country. So they are going to tax the “rich” of most their money. (thus causing us to have no jobs) Inflate our money.(so it is worthless) Are they going to tax our coal away from our barrels as we stand jobless in the street because it emits CO2, or just force us to take a job with the government like a good prole. But hey the trains will run on time.
That’s my nuclear attack. What the heck have progressive done for us lately.

Geoffrey DunnAward-winning journalist, filmmaker and historian is a bigot.
Well I read his arcticle. It had notheing to do with religion. It was about Van Susteren and Palin. There are conservitives. OK so.
Well, The headline was a reference to terrorism. “pall’n around” only instead of terrorism they inserted a religion. A religion that is in my opinion false and misleading but hooking that religion that you view as false to terrorism is bad.
this next quote is unacceptable.
“While there’s something ironic about Alaska’s most famous evangelical Christians pallin’ around with a couple who believes that 75 million years ago an entity named Xenu brought billions of people to Earth in spacecraft resembling DC-8 airliners, it’s all been good for Van Susteren’s ratings.”
Mocking someone beliefs. Ok thats fine legally. 1st amendment. The context of the article is about politics. Calling both Greata and Palin mean spirited hatefully, greedy non creditable people. Notice that context has nothing to do with religion. This is an attack on religion. A bigot, A bigot.

Context: Senator Dood, Short Term Emergeny Nationalization, banks, don’t want to do it but…

Got the Situation. What I don’ t get is him not getting it.

He Said”

“I’m sort of stunned in a way that some people are reacting the way they are about all of this,” Dodd said. “At a time like this, everyone needs to pull in the same direction.”(Sic)

Well at a time like this, with so many ethics violations, and so little understanding of capitalism. And our founding fathers understanding of the role states government vs the Federal, its simple Americans don’t trust our leaderes in this “emergency” economic downturn. We,d rather you did nothing and cut the size of government to lets say half. 1 trillion dollars. And lower taxes cause we don’t have any money ether. Let the banks fail. All of them. Or create a bad bank if you don’t want to do nothing. Anything besides expanding government through a stimulus bill. Creating health care for everyone. Unionizing America. And monetizing the bill to boot. My cash is now worth 1/3 what it use to be based on back of the envelop calculations. I have to spend it now or put it into some sort of liquid asset or its worthless soon. You hear that, I will not unite with you because I do not trust you. When we really need help, I’ll help and trust and work with my neighbors, in a system like socialism if i need to. However I don’t think that would work because the pilgrams tried that.  (and the Russians and Europe and Britain and China)  But nationally trusting you to that roll is insane.  You have no honor when you steal from us and waste the money.  I might as well burn my parents house down to control supply.

Future prediction. Housing is going to get expensive with out the real value changing.(inflation thanks o montizeing ones, and a speical thax to you dood)  The houses will then go down in value not dollars.

No one will buy the expensive houseing. Unless government step in and prints more money. Repeat until we break.

Oh yeah the govenment with  wiretaping, can throw that idea  out the window. Why because they now have direct access to our finances via nationalized banks. He who controls the money and the guns and the laws controls freedom. We don’t trust you. Why will not congress listen to America When we call to say no.

Drill baby drill, where is the drilling to prevent us from spending oursevelves into Slavery to the Saudi’s. Environmental people?

Where is an energy policy. When are you going to can the Social Security program. We can’t afford it. You sold me into slavery with this debt. I wasn’t every going to get it anyway, ever, I SAY NO. I DON”T TRUST YOU CLOWNS.

I will read a 5000 year leap, I will find out how the founders ran this country, I will slowly change this back. Or the country will break from debt.

I going to do my homework so I can get so skills that I can do on a job. We are going to need it.

They passed a 4/5’s of a trillion dollar without reading it Saturday, Feb 14 2009

I am not the only one thinking that you don’t pass a bill that you expect to pay by selling bonds to the Federal Reserve (who will print the money).    This will  half the vaule of our dollar.  This is a fifty percent tax on all americans.  And the more you saved the harder it hits you because this is a wealth tax of all paper fiat money.   This wasn’t what I was thinking when I asked for a flat income tax.     But say you agree with this idea.   Say you don’t buy my arguments against this bill.  That doing nothing  is better then government involment.   You want new deal number 2.     Don’t you think you should read this bill rather then trusting 5 people to put it together.    They made this bill in the back room.  They only invited the senete repblicans in consoltation after a huge outcry that this is a losey bill.    But that Outcry wasn’t the reason they were invited, they just didn’t want a filabuster.    The public  looking at the earlier bill found stuff that they didn’t like.   They got some nessary changes through.      Then it went to confrence where 5 people rewrote the bill and put it up for a vote so Pelosi could make it to Rome and collect her accolades from the Sons of Itialy honoring her and five other women for being successful.         Outragous,   because we passed this so fast because there was no real debate this bill is undiluted, well ok at 85% concentrate.

Because the last president supported a war in 2003 to pound on some like minded indiviuals who believe in useing religon for political gain, to put pressure on Iran and squeeze them.    The progressives protested, and did so load enough, that Iran felt no pressure from a divide USA.   Thus destroying the whole point to the war.   If we can’t have it our way then you get nothing at all mentality. The Psueduo conservitives who increased our deficeits spent way more money than Clinton ever did, had an angry conservitive base and and angry progressive base got pounded out of Congress.  Where as the extreme progressives got voted in.   I give you the dirtbag Pelosi who just past that bill.   Then  Because the New York times endorsed McCain he one the primarys of three states (none of which I am in) and the other states like sheep gave him the nomination.   He was our worst nightmare.    And he was put up against a well spoken popular Senator.   Obama won.   Now   I don’t want to be Euroupe.  I don’t want government programs at the Federal level.   I want troops at the federal level and a tax to pay for them.   I want a State Department.   A deptment of Commerce and Inteior (for the National Parks) sound ok.   Social Security Medicare etc etc etc can be states rights.

Now they pass this bill.   That  destroys what is left of our economy eventually through inflation.   Which might still have federal doctors talking with mine to deny me medical care so as to reduce costs in it.   Which still might force  my state to decouple power generation from sells of power.

So they are takeing over my banks,  my car makers, my power companies,  Because they didn’t like a war, and because we didn’t like spending to much.    Oh yea and they will print up to 10 trillion dollars to fix the problem of  morgages being overleveraged (aka to much money in loans borrowed to bet the people won’t default).    Why did people default, because money was so easy to get through loans.   Who controls the Loans, why its the FED.     So how did they fix the problem.  Make money easier to get by giveing it away.   Notice a circle here with that progressive side effect that they are grabing power.  Control over the banks ,cars , powercompanies,  healthcare,  waterways, airwaves (fairness doctrine), internet (ses previous post on net neutrailty), etc,etc.    One lady claimed that this had gun control in it and sited a HR passage. But since no one had the bill long enough to check it much less protest this before the vote, who knows.   But if it does,  it makes Obama a Liar.   That is if you don’t count the Lobbyist thing.

Obama certainly is not letting this emergency go to waste.  At Least the Patriot act had a sunset.   This bill and tarp keeps going and going.

What is in this monster?   What emergency could be so pressing?   Is there a sunset to any of this?

Net Neutrality in Stimulas bill?! Wednesday, Feb 11 2009

I still have no idea what net Neutrality is. How ever Diane Feinstien (much maligned by me ) ,idiot, whom I am almost always in disagreement with wants to kill net neutraility according to Slashdot.  She is trying to add (comcast’s)  “responsible network management”  so they can kill Porn online.  And she is doing it in conferce commitee to hide her little act.      So red flags, red flags, let me count the flags.

Flag one – Stimulas Bill = Economic recovery  not anything else.

Flag two – She’s a Liberal, as in on the ACLU’s side, for porn, why would she put this in when it is so obviously against      1st  amendment violations.    Now I read free speach as political and religious free speach or the speach of  I think this is how things are, should be, etc     In Porn there isn’t a lot of um thought that would be umm  philsophical.  Granted I think that it can be regulated without it haveing any relation to the first.         WHat does SHE get out of this?

Flag three -  “responsible network management”    Now I had a beef with comcast on this policy.  Basicly ComCast runs there bandwidth like the federal reserve runs our curency,  Assume that you need X amount of money and if the needs are different you take out money or put in money.      ComCast did the same  we needed X amount of internet ComCast Contracted for As much as you need.  ComCast didn’t pony the extra bandwidth that BitTorrent people otherwise know as miniservers use.  So they Restricted it.  Thus Breaking the Contract.        So WHat is Her idea of Responsible?   And WHy is she saying the Government gets to Manage this.    WHat is she really going to Manage?  Porn or Blogs and Talk Radio that can be labeled Political Porn.    That right I just accused her of tring to take our First Amendment rights away. Watch her try.  Otherwise why hid?

So we have the fairness doctrine through FCC could this be for the internet?

Flag Four-   Shes Hideing this, hello, in a bill with no oversight, no names attached because they don’t want you to know whats in this bill she is trying to attach this in Confrence Committee, where not even Congress can raise a ralling cry.  That ’s underhanded.  Confrence Committee is to compromise not add new things out of Left feild.

Obama press for speed. OutRagous Monday, Feb 9 2009

-Do it do it now! (say it with an Arnie Govenator accent it works better)
-But I can’t afford to enslave my children with this debt!
-This is an emergency. Do it for the greater good.
-But government never solves economic problems, it didn’t work out for the communists. Remember the extra 100,000,000,000 rubles in debt that collapsed there government right after they had a bad war in Afganistan. We Can’t Spend 800,000,000,000 to 950,000,000,000 more.
We just spent 850,000,000,000 on a failed Tarp program which is now run by a tax cheat. What else do we, are we, going to spend this year the normal 3.2 x 10^(10) dollars this year. I thought it was outragous when Bush did that. What war you mean we are still fighting a war too?
-Your listening to Rush Limbaugh! Stop it. Yes we Can! The Old Political arguments your useing don’t work anymore. Just trust me. Well raise taxes on the Wealthy, which means a tax cut for you little people.
-This is your new era of good feelings? Denagrate my honest views, tell me to hurry and accept this plan? Who am I to trust to carry out this spending? What strings are attached to this bill? Smart grid is great, but who controls it, and why do we have to decouple profits from sales?
-Do it Do It now! JOBS JOBS 500 million a month! Do it now.
-But this bill won’t create all that many jobs its mostly welfare?
Do it DO IT NOW!

-This bill feels good I mean all those people hurting but am I a sheep? Could there be a cliff ahead for my children.

PS The Last gereration did this to me and saddled us will 7 trillion dollars in debt plus medicare and Social Security. That was before Clinton and Bush got into office. I am that child who is running off a cliff, I am 27. A lot of that money went to the freeways I enjoy and the Amry that protects me but most of it went to museiems and grain silos and abortion clinics and condoms and education (substandard) and well brigdes to noware. I ask again without the dialouge why are we doing this? Doing nothing sound a whole heck of a lot better. I don’t like being frog marched.

Earmarks are good? Sunday, Feb 8 2009

Wow, thats an argument that I have never heard. It was a NPR article that was on the drudge report today. “Earmark-Free Stimulus Bill Lacks Spending Direction”
If there are no earmarks then congress isn’t responsible for the way the money is spent. “This wasn’t a very important decision” ” This is an emergency” Money will be spent badly if congress is not in control.
Wow That is an argument I have never heard. And I have been listening for 15 Years. Those statement blew me away.
My Gut reaction. Congress Earmarks are still bad because you couldn’t know how to spend the money. Whole founding fathers ideaolgy is distrust of the government. And I seen proof of that truth and the disasters of the fiscal policy of both Dems and Reps. I am actually glad the power is going local.

By the way the CBO says this bill will reduce GDP over the long term. Isn’t most of the spending in this bill long term. The only short term spending is welfare and tax cuts and about 5 billion in infrastructure.

Call your congressmen, all of them. No on this bill.
